Last week Sony released a trailer stating why the PS4 is the best place to play. It highlighted many exclusive titles and third-party games that Sony had made a deal with for exclusive content. Well, in the U.S. trailer there was a footnote on the Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag portion of the trailer stating that the exclusive content would only be exclusive for six months. This lead many to assume that the PS exclusive Aveline storyline would be coming to Xbox consoles.
Ubisoft has killed the rumor. The publisher revealed to Eurogamer that the content is exclusive to PlayStation for its lifetime and can only be played on PS4 and PS3.
The exclusive content in question is a whole hour of gameplay, which equates to four missions. Players will take on the role of Aveline de Grandpre’, the main protagonist of Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD. The missions are a form of epilogue for her story.
Ubisoft has not given any clarification about the Watch Dogs PlayStation exclusive content. Just like with Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Watch Dogs also came with the same footnote. However, expect the same situation given the fact that the Black Flag content is staying exclusive.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is out now in North America and November 1 in Europe for PS3, Xbox 360, PC and Wii U. The PS4 and Xbox One versions launch alongside the consoles.
