Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD is an HD Remaster of the 2012 PS Vita title. It launched yesterday on PSN and is out today on Xbox Live and Steam. To celebrate, Ubisoft has released a launch trailer highlighting all of the new and improved features in this HD version.
Obviously the visuals have seen a huge upgrade as it moved from the PS Vita hardware to the last-generation consoles. Using the improved power Ubisoft Sofia has increased the detail of its world and, in some cases, has completely redesigned some of the environments. All new missions have also been added to enhance the story. Thanks to more buttons on console controllers and the keyboard the gameplay has been refined to better represent a console Assassin’s Creed game.
Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD takes place during the same time as Assassin’s Creed III. Players take on the role of Aveline de Grandpré, an assassin of mixed races working to liberate slaves in the New Orleans, Louisiana territory. Her adventure will get her caught up in a Templar conspiracy that she must work to stop.
Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD is out now on PSN and today on Xbox Live and Steam for $14.99. You can look for our review very soon. Check out the launch trailer below:
