The release date for The Last of Us: Left Behind is creeping up on us at a pretty fast rate. February 14, Valentines Day, is when the DLC will land on PSN. Today Sony is giving us a look at the opening cinematic for the single player expansion along with a behind-the-scenes look.
If it looks familiar then you’re right. The opening cinematic is the same thing that Sony released last week. However, it is expanded by over a minute and ends right where gameplay will begin. The story of the DLC begins with Ellie asleep in military school. Her friend Riley sneaks up on her and bites her on the neck to make her think that she’s infected. It’s all a joke, though Ellie nearly kills her. Ellie asks where Riley has been for so long and Riley tells her to follow her and she’ll explain.
Sony has also released a behind-the-scenes video featuring the actors and a few developers discussing the DLC. Here it is revealed that Left Behind will be primarily set in a mall.
The Last of Us: Left Behind is out February 14 for $14.99. You can pick up The Last of Us now exclusively on PS3. Check out the opening cinematic and the behind-the-scenes video below:
