Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Coming to PS4 in April, Collector’s Edition Detailed

It was announced today that Square’s successful MMO reboot, Final Fantasy XIV Online: A Realm Reborn, would be coming to PlayStation 4 on April 14 with online service beginning the same day. The game will be available in two flavors: a standard edition or a collector’s edition, the latter of which includes a special box, art book, soundtrack, art card set, themed security token, the Seventh Umbral Era Special Movie Content Disc and multiple in-game items (including the Seventh Umbral Era Special Movie Content Disc).

As this is practically identical to to the PS3 collector’s edition, existing players who have registered a copy of the collector’s edition of Final Fantasy XIV or A Realm Reborn (or who utilized the digital Collector’s Edition upgrade service) will automatically receive the two new in-game items (Fat Chocobo Mount & Wind-up Moogle minion) that are making their debut in the new PlayStation 4 system Collector’s Edition for free.

The standard edition will cost $39.99 while the collector’s edition is priced at $79.99, including a free 30-day trial. A monthly subscription starting at $12.99 will be required to play the game thereafter. Check out a picture of the set below and be sure to check out our extensive coverage of the game right here.
