Metroidvania fans, listen up! If you’ve never heard of The Sun At Night before (previously titled Laika Believes), then you’d best get acquainted with it. The game, which comes to us from Minicore Studios, is an unusual new take on the genre.
Playing as a Soviet space dog with a back-mounted gun, players traverse around the expansive sci-fi landscape, blasting anything that gets in their way. Despite what seems to be a silly setup there is also a ton of depth. For example, Laika has a hefty skill tree that wouldn’t be out of place in a standard RPG.
