Titanfall is indeed a cool game, but many remained unconvinced to pony up $500 to get the game on Xbox One. Luckily, there is an Xbox 360 version on the way for those who don’t want to upgrade. It was supposed to release next week, but EA has confirmed that the game has been delayed until April.
“I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic,” EA executive vice president Patrick Soderlund wrote on the EA blog. “But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players. Titanfall for Xbox 360 will now be releasing on April 11th 2014. The game will feature the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards as the Xbox One and PC versions of the game. We appreciate everyone’s patience as we get the last details right. See you on the Frontier.”
The Xbox 360 version of Titanfall is in development at Austin, TX based Bluepoint Games. The studio was handpicked by Respawn Entertainment to bring the shooter to Microsoft’s last-gen platform. Originally, the game was supposed to launch alongside the Xbox One and PC versions, but suffered a two week delay to March 25. EA stated that it was to give Bluepoint more time to develop the game.
Titanfall is out on Xbox 360 April 8. It is out now on Xbox One and PC.
