Persona Q 3DS XL Coming to North America

Atlus’ famed RPG series, Persona, a spin-off of the Shin Megami Tensai series has had a few spin-off of their own announced recently, one of which being Persona Q: Shadow Of The Labyrinth, a chibi-art style combination of characters from Persona 3 and Persona 4 on an all new adventure, and that game is coming out exclusively on the 3DS.  The game takes inspiration from another Atlus game, Etrian Odyssey, allowing teams of 5 to navigate dungeons in a first-person view, similar to the original Persona: Revelations game dungeons.

When the game launched in Japan, it came with a very special version of the 3DS XL that made it look like the guestbook one signs in the velvet room at the beginning of most of these games.  Japan was quite lucky and envied by all in North America over this, but not anymore.

Nintendo of America has announced today that the special edition Persona Q 3DS XL will be released in North America as well now, and will be an exclusive at GameStop only for what could be considered the “usual” 3DS XL price of $199.99.

For fans who have pre-ordered Persona Q or Persona Q Premium Edition, the Persona Q 3DS will be sold as hardware only, so there’s no need to worry about possibly doubling up on the game, or missing out on the bonus goods included in those versions.

The game release is right around the corner, set for November 25, just in time for Thanksgiving.
