Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter isn’t always on the money. Although Pachter has had his share of rights, the wrongs are always hard to excuse. With that in mind, a report by Gamesbeat has the analyst estimating that 325,000 Xbox One’s were sold; substantially more than PlayStation 4’s still strong 250,000 units.
“From September 7 through [September] 13, Microsoft offered a free game with the purchase of a new Xbox One at participating retailers,” said Pachter to Gamesbeat. “I kind of think that free Destiny [on Xbox One] was better than [paying] for Destiny on PS4.”
While the numbers won’t be confirmed until Thursday’s NPD Group reveals, this would mark the second month Xbox One outsold the PlayStation 4 since launch.
