Techland’s next big first-person action game based on a zombie apocalypse will no longer be coming to last generation consoles. The developer announced through their Facebook account today that they will be focusing only on current generation consoles (PS4 and Xbox One) along with the PC. This mainly contributes to their ambitious goals as they would most likely have to sacrifice too much for it to be a quality product.
“To ensure you enjoy Dying Light as much as we would like you to, we chose to release it without any compromises on the three strongest systems available. Thanks to this, you’ll get the full and best experience regardless of the platform you play on.”
This comes as a surprise considering they specifically say they are wrapping up development, and making this decision is a big deal so close to launch, even if many gamers are slowly transitioning to the newer platforms. Regardless, Dying Light will now be coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC January 27, 2015.
