Assassin’s Creed: Unity is doing much better sales-wise than Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag in the UK.
UKIE, the same group that releases the weekly UK Charts, has noted that Assassin’s Creed: Unity is off to a strong start in the UK, despite not being able to top Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Unity’s week one sales were higher than Black Flag’s week one sales, though that might have been caused by fans waiting for the PS4 and Xbox One versions to launch. 52% picked Unity up on PS4, 46% on Xbox One, and just 2% on PC. The UKIE does not track digital sales.
Assassin’s Creed: Unity is doing so well in the UK that Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare only won by the slimmest of margins. With sales falling 77% from the previous week, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare outsold Assassin’s Creed: Unity by only 16,000 copies. If Unity had also released on PS3 and Xbox 360 then the game would have easily taken the top spot.
