High School Starleague Partners with Twitch, MSI, Lootcrate, and Others to Fund Scholarship

High School Starleague, the eSports organization for high schoolers, has organized $1000 in scholarships which will be awarded to 4 lucky students. The full list of prizes includes:

  • $500 USD scholarship + 6 month subscription to Loot Crate + $50 Jinx Giftcode + MSI R9 270X Graphic Card + MSI Shirt + HSL Shirt
  • $250 USD scholarship + $50 Jinx Giftcode + 3 month subscription to Loot Crate + MSI Shirt + HSL Shirt
  • $125 USD scholarships + $50 Jinx Giftcode + 1 Loot Crate Box + MSI Shirt + HSL Shirt

The scholarship is sponsored by Twitch, MSI, Lootcrate, Jinx, and High School Starleague itself. Entrants must write a 500 to 700 word essay relating to video games. Many of the topics involve balancing being a hardcore gamer and a healthy lifestyle, with one even asking writers to apply a quote made by a champion from League of Legends to their everyday lives.

  • In order to be eligible, entrants must:
  • Be a high school junior, senior, or equivalent
  • Be younger than 19 years old at the time of submission
  • Be planning on attending a two- or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school full-time in North America
  • Be a legal U.S. resident
  • Have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 3.00 or higher
  • Currently attend a school in the United States
  • Submit a complete application and all required documentation by the deadline of the application
