Alone in the Dark: Illumination, the multiplayer-focused installment in the classic survival horror series, is set to launch later this year, but those who’ve pre-ordered the game will also get the chance to try out the game before its release.
Publisher Atari has announced that pre-ordering Alone in the Dark: Illumination will also give buyers exclusive access to a beta weekend beginning today at 12pm PST. Pre-orders earn players gameplay including the first character (The Hunter) and the single-player mode of the first environment (The Mines of Lorwich). Another beta period is also planned, but has yet to have an official release date, though it will occur during the weeks leading up to the game’s launch.
We have our skepticism on the direction of Alone in the Dark: Illumination, but if you’re curious, head over to Steam to check out the game for yourself.
