Publisher Little Orbit has announced today that a new title based on DreamWorks Animation’s commercially successful Kung Fu Panda franchise is coming to consoles and PC.
Developer Vicious Cycle Software, who produced Eat Lead: The Return of Matt Hazard and Matt Hazard: Blood Bath and Beyond, is set to bring a “fresh and fist-pumping way to experience” the Kung Fu Panda series in the form of Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends.
Showdown of Legendary Legends encompasses characters from the first two films, with Little Orbit confirming that more content will be available when the third movie in the franchise is released on January 29, 2016.
“We are very proud to team up with DreamWorks Animation to extend the world of Kung Fu Panda in a new exciting way,” says Little Orbit CEO Matt Scott.
“This is a perfect match-up to bring this extraordinary series to gamers who love a great multiplayer martial arts game.”
The single-player modes of Showdown of Legendary Legends include Tournament of Legends, Practice and Tutorial. Meanwhile, the title’s multiplayer, which has both local and online play, has VS., Team Play and Tag-Team.
Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo 3DS and PC in the fall of 2015.
