Major Chinese mobile developer Seasun Entertainment has announced that it’s opening a North American development branch. Known as Seasun Games, the new San Mateo, California office will focus on bringing mobile title Relics of Gods over to the West.
Tao Zou, CEO of Seasun Entertainment, provided a statement on the expansion, noting, “The U.S. is one of the top gaming markets in the world, boasting a long-lasting game culture, and is definitely a critical audience as we expand into global markets. We are confident and extremely dedicated to the U.S. market with long-term development and publishing plans.”
Relics of Gods is a 3 v. 3 PvP turn-based strategy title that was allegedly developed with Western audiences at the forefront of the development team’s collective minds. We’ll see if the move over to the West proves lucrative for Seasun Entertainment, as Relics of Gods is set to launch in North America this summer on mobile platforms after a three-year development cycle.
