Final Fantasy XIV Patch 3.1 Detailed

Square Enix has been able to turn around one of their most devastating blows, Final Fantasy XIV, into a highly successful and enjoyable game with A Realm Reborn. Earlier this year, the series received its first major expansion since its relaunch, but Square Enix isn’t stopping there.

As per usual, the Japanese developer is continuing to bring patches/updates to the title in form of lengthy stories. For anyone who owns the 3.0 Heavensward expansion, you will be able to download the latest adventure, As Goes Light, So Goes Darkness, on November 10 that continues where things were left off.

Other than an expansion on the main story, this adds exploratory missions, a new strategy game in the Gold Saucer, two dungeons (Saint Mocianne’s Arboretum and Pharos Sirius Hard Mode), new Vanu Vanu Beast Tribute quests, extreme difficulty for Thordan’s Reign, and a new 24-player raid called Void Ark.

There’s still a lot of life left in Final Fantasy XIV with even 4.0 already past the planning stage. Hopefully this chapter lives up the expectations Square Enix has laid down.
