Dark Souls 3 may be just around the corner — launching for both Sony and Microsoft platforms sometime in April of next year — but according to a trusted Sony Insider via NeoGAF, Souls creators From Software may already be underway on a brand new JRPG, and this one, as claims state, will be exclusive to Sony’s platform.
“Next FS exclusive for PS4 currently in development is a Sony published first party title, like Bloodborne, and is a JRPG. There is another project in development in a similar context which is also a JRPG, and is going to be a Sony published title aka first party. Beyond that, I don’t want to delve into anything but it honestly only takes a little common sense to realise that Shu [Shuhei Yoshida, president of Sony Computer Entertainment] isn’t going to tell you what anyone’s up to because you happen to ask him a question. Nothing exists until it’s officially time for it to exist.”
Obviously it’s unclear what From may be focusing on here, yet even with The Old Hunters DLC coming later this month, could one of these two JRPG’s possibly be a sequel to Bloodborne? Perhaps something entirely new, both in setting and gameplay, or the return of a much-beloved, distant franchise? What would you like to see? New Armored Core per chance?
