UK Charts: The Force is Strong with Star Wars Battlefront

The Force is strong with EA and Dice’s latest shooter, Star Wars Battlefront. Battlefront secured the top spot in the UK and became the biggest launch for a Star Wars title, selling 117% more units during launch week than the previous record-holder, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. So far, it is the fourth biggest game launch of 2015, and is the fastest selling non-sequel PS4 title ever, besting Destiny.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III retains second place, forcing Fallout 4 to third place. Rise of the Tomb Raider did pretty well, only falling a single place and suffering only a thirty-seven percent decrease in sales. No other new titles were released last week.
