During The Game Awards 2015, EA’s Jade Raymond (former Managing Director of Ubisoft Toronto) took the stage to present the award for best voice acting. What came out of her mouth, however, was the center of attention. Before presenting the award she said “to really make a character come to life, you need to find the actor that captures the voice of the character. Like who could imagine Metal Gear without the voice of David Hayter?” an obvious jab at Konami for choosing Kiefer Sutherland over Hayter in Metal Gear Solid V.
Quickly afterwards, she followed up with “Sorry, that was a bit mean.”
