According to a report from Japanese site Nikkei, Metal Gear series creator Hideo Kojima has left Konami officially as of today. They also claim that Kojima is in works of building a new studio and approaching Sony Computer Entertainment. Earlier this year Kojima and Konami’s relationship started to wane when they removed Kojima’s name and studio branding from the box of Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. In April, Konami shut down Silent Hills, the collaboration project between Kojima and Guillermo Del Toro and in July, Kojima Productions closed.
