Xbox One Backwards Compatibility Updated for January 2016

Microsoft continues to issue updates for their backwards compatibility program for Xbox One, giving last generation players a reason to upgrade. The program was in beta mid-last year with its official release coming in November. Since then, various games have been included in the program, allowing players to simply download or put in an Xbox 360 disc to play.

Among the many for January 2016, one sticks out the most: the recently made free The Witcher 2: Assassin of Kings. Besides that, Aegis Wing, Age of Booty, Counter-Strike GO, Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad Arcade, Sam & Max Save the World, Skullgirls, Small Arms, Soulcalibur, and Space Giraffe will be available to anyone who owns them on XBL or through a retail disc.

This update is available today with more coming in future patches.
