Five Nights at Freddy’s World Updated, Released for Free

Five Nights at Freddy’s World, the new RPG from Scott Cawthon set in his popular Five Nights at Freddy’s universe, has been re-released after Cawthon pulled it from sale last month. The game features new updates and a new price tag: free.

Cawthon had originally announced a February 19 release date for the game, but as has become typical for him, he surprised fans by releasing it on January 22. Complaints that the game was unfinished rolled in shortly thereafter, prompting Cawthon to pull it from Steam and apologize to fans, writing, “You know, I’ve been accused of rushing my games ever since [the first Five Nights at Freddy’s game], but I’ve never felt that I’d released a game too early… until now.”

Cawthon has now posted an updated version of the game to GameJolt. While it cost $10 during its initial run on Steam, with the new GameJolt release Cawthon isn’t charging anything. The description for the new version mentions “a remodeled overworld and many new features” with the promise of more to come.

You can download the updated version now from GameJolt.
