Gran Turismo Sport Release Date, Pre-Order Bonuses Announced

Sony has officially revealed when the first Gran Turismo game for PS4, Gran Turismo Sport, will launch, and what players will get for pre-ordering.

Gran Turismo Sport was announced back at Paris Games Week last year, but Sony has been extremely quiet about the game until today. During an event in London today, Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polphony Digital, officially announced that Gran Turismo Sport will launch November 15 on PS4.

Gran Turismo Sport is the first racing game to built from the ground up to deliver global, online competitions sanctioned by the FIA (Federation International Mobile), the highest governing body in the world of motorsports. Throughout Gran Turismo Sport you will define your own legacy by representing your home country or favorite care manufacturer. Confirmed race classes include GT3, Prototype, and Rally.

Sony also confirmed some pre-order bonuses. Anyone who pre-orders Gran Turismo Sport will get the following three cars:

  • Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car
  • Toyota FT-1 Vision GT Group 3
  • Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1

In addition, certain retailers will have exclusive pre-order bonuses:

Finally, Sony will also offer a Limited Edition of Gran Turismo Sport. Priced at $69.99, the Limited Edition will contain more than $130 worth of content. Here are all the included goodies:

Players can get a good look at Gran Turismo Sport very soon.  The Pre-Season Test of the FIA Gran Turismo Championship stream begins today, May 19, at 10:30am PT. While we wait for the stream, Sony has published a three minute trailer showcasing gameplay captured straight from a PS4.
