While the Monday before E3 used to be the unofficial start of the convention, it looks like Sunday has taken its place as publishing giants Electronic Arts and Bethesda Softworks held press conferences for their upcoming lineup of games for 2016 and 2017.
One game that stood out in Bethesda’s press conference was a remastered version of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim for the current generation consoles, receiving drastic graphical upgrades alongside mod support. Fortunately Bethesda has a treat for PC players. Through the company’s official Twitter account, Bethesda has announced that if you own Skyrim and all of its DLC, or the Legendary Edition, you will receive an complemtary upgrade to the Special Edition

This is a great gesture from Bethesda, rewarding fans who have supported them over the years. Unfortunately, it does leave console players out to dry a bit, but it can be a bit difficult to determine who owns the game considering, while there is a digital version on the Xbox Store, there isn’t a listing on PlayStation side of things.
