Relentless Software, the development studio best known for their long-running Buzz! games, has shut down and let all their employees go, GamesIndustry reports.
Having been up and running for nearly 13 years, the UK-based developers released their first title, DJ: Decks and FX, back in 2004. A year later, they hit it big with the first title in the Buzz! series. Buzz!: The Music Quiz, released in 2005 for the PlayStation 2, and the franchise went on to sell more than 10 million copies across a variety of platforms.
Outside of the Buzz! franchise, Relentless also worked on the Blue Toad Murder Files, and developed the Kinect-focused game Kinect Nat Geo TV, which was published by Microsoft Studios in 2012. Earlier this year, Relentless opened a studio based out of Wales, which was intended to develop multiple projects in collaboration with Hasbro.
