Well, Tequila Works are apparently having quite the busy Gamescom this year. Aside from new updates on the ever-elusive RiME planned for the event, the Spanish team has now announced a co-production with UK-based developers Cavalier Game Studios in order to help create a new isometric supernatural mystery game, The Sexy Brutale. You can catch the first teaser for the game below, but if that wasn’t enough, we also have the first batch of screenshots to enjoy after that.
Set in the the titular English mansion that doubles as an elite casino run by an enigmatic man known only as “The Marquis,” The Sexy Brutale has you playing as Lafcadio Boone, an elderly priest attempting to prevent each of the nine guests from being murdered. Thankfully, the Groundhog Day effect is in full swing here, so the day can loop over and over again, allowing Boone to view events from different locations and times, learning new information. And by saving victims, he also earns occult powers needed to access certain areas of the mansion. The Sexy Brutale is currently due out in the first quarter of 2017 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and more on the game is set to be revealed during Gamescom this week, so stay tuned.
