We haven’t heard much lately in terms of Pokémon Sun and Moon but way back in September the last update gave us new creatures, Z-Moves, and fun content. It was a pretty good amount of information but feels like far too long since receiving a hefty dose. Luckily, a brand new trailer shows off some details we’ve all been looking forward to.
Rowlet evolves into Dartrix, a rather dapper-looking Pokémon with a fancy hairdo. They are quite snobbish and worried about their appearance but that doesn’t mean they aren’t skilled at flinging sharpened leaves and feathers at opponents. Litten’s evolution is Torracat, it seems to be a bit more feisty than before and even sports a flaming collar. They enjoy a good fight and can definitely pound foes with large front paws. Then, Popplio evolves into Brionne, which appears to wear a dress and pigtailed hair while it enjoys putting on a show. Brionne use bubbles to confuse others in battle before creating a beautiful explosion.
Festival Plaza is a place where you can have fun completing missions for other characters. You will earn coins that go toward items you can purchase. The jobs will range from finding restaurant locations to playing in bouncy houses. This could be where the Pyukumuku mini-game relates to the gameplay though you earn actual money from this task.
Poké Pelago is a cute new feature allowing your team members in the PC to at least stretch their legs, tentacles, wings, etc. by participating in mini-games. They will be able to train and locate items while you are away! It seems like an alternate version of the daycare system but without worrying about eggs.
Mega evolutions are back and are implemented with the use of the Z-Power. Z-Moves and Megas seem to be quite similar as they both rely on the strong bond between Pokémon and their partner. It makes sense that players will have to locate Mega Stones and insert them in the Z-Ring but it has yet to be confirmed. You can receive some from other characters and special shops.
Finally, a special demo version of Pokémon Sun and Moon will be available to play on October 18. Greninja will be your partner and it has a special transformation ability to turn into Ash-Greninja. This form has only been seen in the anime series, so it is making it’s video game debut. You will even get to transfer Greninja to the full version of the games as well.
