Two More Resident Evil 7 Teasers Appear, Provide Glimpses of Save System, Knife

With eight additional teasers promised after last week’s surprise glimpses at gameplay, Capcom has released the next two brief videos which detail new aspects of Resident Evil 7.

The first of these two teasers, simply titled “Recorder”, showcases the mostly expected return of save stations. As this method of saving one’s progress was a key component of the more horror-focused entries in the Resident Evil series, most fans will not be too surprised that such a feature is back. The other teaser, called “Stock Up”, offers another peek at the inventory, this time after the player-character retrieves a shotgun and some ammunition from a closed chest. The chest is open using a knife, another key tool of the Resident Evil franchise, and indicates that inventory management will once again be central to surviving the horrors that the player will inevitably encounter.

Both teasers can be viewed below, with the ending citing both the continued promise of a total of ten teasers, as well as the previously announced release date of January 24 for PS4, Xbox One, PC, and PlayStation VR.
