Zero Escape: The Nonary Games Announced for 2017 Release on PS4 and Vita

The Zero Escape series has largely been a portable-only affair – with 999 being DS-only and its successor Virtue’s Last Reward being on the 3DS and Vita. Today, Aksys Games and Spike Chunsoft announced that the first two Zero Escape games will be coming to both the Vita and the PlayStation 4 in 2017. This will be the first time that either game has been playable on a home console, and 999 has been rebuilt with all-new HD graphics and both English and Japanese voice casts. This is outstanding news for fans of the series, and while it is a very niche product, if it does well on consoles perhaps it will lead to future installments being made there instead of being restricted to on-the-go devices.
