Fresh off a successful launch, Turn 10 Studios has debuted a handful of new cars available as DLC as of today, and also teased a new weather feature that’s arriving later this year.
Before discussing the new arrivals, the post from Turn 10 Community Manager Brian Ekberg promoted the record-breaking release with some strangely vague stats, calling Forza Horizon 3 the “biggest Forza launch to date”, but than clarifying it by saying that over five million fans were playing “Forza games in September on Xbox One and Windows 10”, which is a bit misleading since that could also include Forza 5, 6, and Horizon 2, instead of just Horizon 3. Regardless, the post moved on to go into detail on the newly available cars, which include the 1998 Nissan Silvia K, 1990 Mazda Savanna RX-7, and several other cars which can be viewed in the trailer below. This AlpineStars Car Pack is available as part of Horizon 3’s Car Pass, or as a standalone purchase for $7. Finally, Turn 10 concluded the post with a brief glimpse at the winter conditions that will be covering the virtual Australian landscape in snow later this year, despite the fact that the real-world Australia will be experiencing summer during that point in time.
Forza Horizon 3 is currently available on Xbox One and PC, and includes the Xbox Play Anywhere feature, allowing owners to continue their progress on either platform with one purchase. Make sure to check out Hardcore Gamer’s review of the open-world racer, which praises its ability to push the series forward while still retaining well-polished and entertaining gameplay.
