Take-Two Interactive Won’t Rule out more Remasters

Take-Two Interactive isn’t ruling out releasing more remasters in the near future.

Take-Two Interactive has recently gotten a taste for remasters, and they may not let up. The company has released two remasters so far through 2K Games; Borderlands: The Handsome Collection and BioShock: The Collection. Yesterday, in an earnings call, an analyst asked CEO Strauss Zelnick whether the company would consider any more remasters. His answer? Yes.

“Potentially yes. Any time we have something that goes well or doesn’t go well it definitely informs our decision making, but we don’t have anything specific to announce… The good news is we have a rich trove of intellectual property and there are definitely more things that will be brought to the market in the future, but nothing that we would announce on today’s call.”

Take-Two Interactive is sitting on a treasure trove of last-gen games that players would want remastered. From Rockstar we have Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption. From 2K Games we have XCOM: Enemy Unknown, Mafia II, and Spec Ops: The Line among others. We’ll just have to wait and see if we get any more remasters from Take-Two.

Thanks, Gamespot!
