It would appear that the latest The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition patch is causing problems across all platforms.
It just wouldn’t be a Bethesda Game Studios title without there being any type of crashes, glitches, and bugs. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition launched last week to solid reviews. Bethesda has since moved to clean up some of the lingering bugs, glitches, and other issues, but may have unknowingly created a new batch of problems.
The 1.1 patch on PC and 1.3 patches on PS4 and Xbox One were supposed to fix problems, but they appear to be causing new problems. Players on Steam, Reddit, Twitter, and the Bethesda support forums have been reporting freezes and game crashes. Community administrator gstaff responded via the support forum:
“We’re looking into these crash reports. Thank you for the feedback. We will let you guys know as soon as possible.”
Hopefully we’ll get some response concerning The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition today. In the meantime, we suggest everyone play the game offline until Bethesda can find a solution.
