Square Enix have announced that action-RPG hybrid game, NieR: Automata, has reached a sales milestone.
NieR: Automata launched last month first on PlayStation 4, and then on PC via Steam a few weeks later. Now, one month later, Square Enix has revealed that the game is selling extremely well. In total, worldwide shipment and digital sales of the title have surpassed one million.
Developed in collaboration with Platinum Games, NieR: Automata is the latest game from Yoko Taro, renowned director of the Drakengard series. The game follows 2B, 9S, and A2 as they travel around the ruins of Earth in an attempt to rid the world of machines and reclaim it for the remainder of humanity. In our review, we praised the game for it’s stellar combat and captivating narrative. Overall, it was a game that managed to beat expectations, and we’re happy to see it has found such great success.
NieR: Automata is available now on PS4 and PC via Steam. A demo of the game is available for download on PS4 via the PS Store.
