PlayStation 4 Dragon Quest XI Edition Announced for Japan

Sony Interactive Entertainment will be releasing a limited-edition Dragon Quest XI PlayStation 4 in Japan, set to release on July 29. The trailer introduces the hardware and some odd additions, like a gold slime that can sit on the edge of your console.

The console is bundled with a retail copy of Dragon Quest XI, but it also includes the following:

  • A Dragon Quest-emblazoned PlayStation 4 console with 1 TB HDD
  • A Dragon Quest-emblazoned DualShock 4 controller
  • A retail copy of Dragon Quest XI: In Search of Departed Time, with a code for first-run bonuses “Vest of Happiness” and “Upstart Vest”
  • A “Liquid Metal Slime” gold USB cover figure
  • A download code for a PlayStation 4 original theme
  • Standard PS4 cables

Pre-orders will be through Amazon Japan and start April 29.
