Blizzard Once Again Teases Doomfist for Overwatch

Blizzard Entertainment is once again teasing the existence of a long-rumored character, Doomfist.

Three months ago, the official Overwatch Twitter teased a new Overwatch character in the form of Doomfist. Now, three months later, the company is, once again, teasing the character. In a new post on the official Overwatch site, the company made it clear that Doomfist is likely coming to the game soon.

The post confirmed that the Talon organization attacked¬†Helix Security International’s classified maximum security installation in order to free one man,¬†Akande Ogundimu (a.k.a. Doomfist). His ally, Reaper, was involved in the attack. Ogundimu later appeared in Numbani where he quarreled with OR15 defense bots at Adawe International Terminal. Successfully destroying them, and reclaiming the Doomfist weapon.

It’s likely that Doomfist will be joining the Overwatch roster soon. Some Overwatch players found references to Doomfist in the latest update, indicating that he should arrive with the upcoming Summer Games update. Combine this with Blizzard’s new post, it would seem that players won’t have to wait long to see the long-rumored character finally make his appearance.

Overwatch is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Like all other post-release characters, Doomfist will be free when he finally drops.
