Free Lives, makers of such subtle and evocative masterpieces as Broforce and Genital Jousting, and publisher Devolver Digital have just released their latest oeuvre into Early Access. Gorn, a virtual reality combat…well, not sim, but thing has hit the Steam marketplace for a twenty dollar asking price. People who pick it up before July 17 will get a 25% discount. That price will net the player a physics driven combat game with tons of weapons along with intentionally stupid targets on which to use them.
“While many have had their doubts about the future viability of VR and its potential contributions to society it is worth noting that in GORN you can rip off an opponent’s arm and then beat them with said arm until their head caves in,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker.
Promising that “the only limits to the carnage are your imagination and decency,” there should be plenty of mayhem to keep the sadist occupied as the game continues development. Of course, it wouldn’t be a Devolver published game without some sort of silliness in the promotion. That’s why a live action launch trailer exists. Watch it below and be entertained.
