Fortnite Receives a Launch Trailer Tonight (and Today)

Epic Games has made a lot of people very happy with their release of Fortnite. I’ve spoken to a few different people who pre-ordered to get in on this Early Access release even earlier, and have been very pleased with the results. One ardent fan mentioned that he found it much more challenging than the cartoony graphics would indicate. For those who did not pre-order, the game launches (in Early Access form) to stores today on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. With this launch comes a trailer to show off what the game has to offer. Check it out below.

For those on the fence, Epic has also revealed the voice cast, featuring voice work from the popular Ashly Burch and Phil LaMarr. Also on deck are Adria Arjona (Pacific Rim: Uprising, Emerald City), Amy Pemberton (DC’s Legends of Tomorrow) and Andrew Kishino (Bulletstorm).

“As we created the world of Fortnite, with its heroic moments and quirky sense of humor, we knew it would be important to have a mixture of veteran voices and exceptional new talent in order to connect the players to the game’s story,” said Creative Director Darren Sugg. “Just as we’ve built Fortnite with the players, we were honored to have a group of amazing performers become part of our community and to help us bring this brand new world to life.”
We were favorably impressed with what we got to play, and the addition of these actors certainly lends the credibility to the fact that Epic is taking this title seriously with plans to make good on its potential.
