As mentioned in our preview about a month ago, Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun was one of last year’s biggest hits for the PC, with developers Mimimi Productions crafting the perfect blend of stealth and strategy that acted as a throwback to classic PC games about such tactics and featured a stunning depiction pf Japan’s Edo period. As you can see, we said it worked quite well with a gamepad and was thus ready to conquer consoles, and now is the day for such a sneak attack to take place, as Daedalic Entertainment has released the game for both PS4 and XB1.
So now that Shadow Tactics is available for a wider audience, we also get two new trailers showcasing the game for its console launch, which you can check out below. One is gameplay trailer showcasing the five legendary assassins you control, their abilities, and how you can properly use them together to successfully carry out kills, while the other is a cinematic trailer displaying the kind of chaos such assassinations can lead to. So between these different showcases and the free demo available now, you should have several ways to see if Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun sparks your interest, and if it does, now you can check it out on either PC, XB1, or PS4 and hopefully have a good time sneaking around.
