NA LCS Summer Split Week 9 Day 3 Predictions

The final day of the Summer Split and regular season League of Legends play is here for the NA LCS. All that’s left now is to settle whatever the final bracket will look like. Here it is going into the final day.

1. Immortals

2. Team SoloMid

3. Counter Logic Gaming

4. Cloud9

5. Team Dignitas

6. Team EnVy

7. Echo Fox, FlyQuest

9. Team Liquid, Phoenix1

In their final match of the split TSM is playing to get a share of the top spot as they’re only one match behind. The same goes for Cloud9 who can move up into tied for third with a CLG loss. A major game is taking place today, here are the matches on the docket.

  • Cloud9 vs Echo Fox (2-0)
  • Team Liquid vs Team Dignitas (1-2)
  • Team SoloMid vs Counter Logic Gaming (2-1)
  • FlyQuest vs Phoenix1 (2-1)

As their final tune-up before the playoffs, C9 has EF and shouldn’t have too much trouble. EF is locked in 7 and can’t do much of anything with a win here. Other than possibly playing spoiler C9 moving up they get nothing out of it. Same goes for DIG and TL as TL has nothing to play for either.

With their loss to Fly today I think they’re automatically set up for the promotion tournament. The best they could do is win and tie with Fly if they happen to lose to P1. Then they might play a playoff to see who’s where, but I’m not sure about that. I also don’t think they’ll pull out the win so none of that even matters.

Here’s the big match of the week, TSM, and CLG. CLG currently sit in third and with a win here could pull themselves back up to TSM. A win for TSM could jettison themselves into tied for first and get a nice easy road during the playoffs. What do they need to do? Play their game and take advantage of the experience between junglers. I this will go the distance, but TSM should bring home the W.

Last, but certainly not least, is the battle of the two lower bracket teams. For Fly this successfully removes them having to move back down and keeps them out of the promotion tournament. P1 just needs to get themselves rolling again. Other than not being last place nothing can be gained from a win here, but they need all the matches they can get before relegation starts. I think Fly wins this though as it goes the distance.
