Pokémon battles have changed quite a lot over the years. Sometimes they are straightforward but there are moments where things get a bit unpredictable. Then, the introduction of Mega Evolutions and Z-Moves made things even more difficult. Which is why you may have a tough time in the next round of online competitions.
The Mega Melee battles requires exactly what the name implies. Your team will only consist of Pokémon that can go Mega. However, the actual fighting is going to be one vs. one which means out of the team you have, just a single competitor can be chosen. There are just a select amount you can use. Whichever Pokémon is picked, it doesn’t necessarily have to Mega Evolve during the battle if you don’t want. You’ll be able to use Mega Stones, Z-Moves and other items to help out. Qualified participants will receive 50 Battle Points.
Registrations open September 14 while the actual battling begins on September 22. For a full listing of the rules and guidelines, visit the official Pokémon website. Good luck trainers, have some mega fun.
