Rockstar Games announced today that the 2011 detective adventure game L.A. Noire is seeing a re-release across the Nintendo Switch, PS4 and Xbox One on November 14, being only a couple months away. Alongside the three new console versions, Rockstar will also release L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files featuring seven select cases from the original title now rebuilt for virtual reality with the HTC VIVE.
The Nintendo Switch version will feature the full original game and all additional downloadable content, with enhancements being made for a Joy-Con mode with “gyroscopic, gesture-based controls, HD rumble and new wide and over-the-shoulder camera angles. It will also use a contextual touch screen controls for detective work on the go.
For the PS4 and Xbox One version of the game, L.A. Noire will deliver the complete original game, all additional downloadable content and a range of technical enhancements for greater visual fidelity and authenticity. This includes enhanced lighting and clouds, new cinematic camera angles, high resolution textures and more. L.A. Noire will play natively in 1080p for PS4 and Xbox One, and in 4K for PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
L.A. Noire was released in 2011 to critical acclaim with a Windows version being released later that year.
