Sony Interactive Entertainment and Bluepoint Games have revealed what PS4 Pro enhancements Shadow of Colossus will get, and dropped a handy comparison video.
Bluepoint Games’ remake of Shadow of the Colossus will take full advantage of the PS4 Pro when it launches in February 2018. Those who own the upgraded console can choose to split the power of the Pro between two modes: Cinematic and Performance. Performance mode sacrifices a 4K image in favor of improve performances. In this mode, players will experience a fluid frame rate targeting 60fps. Meanwhile, Cinematic mode focuses on delivering improved image quality and resolution. While in this mode, you’ll get to enjoy a dynamic 4K resolution targeting 30fps.
Bluepoint Games also released a new comparison video, which puts the remake side-by-side with the PS2 original and PS3 remaster. It’s here that you get to see all the updates and enhancements the PS4 remake has over it’s original counterpart and PS3 remaster.
Finally, the developer and publisher formally unveiled a Shadow of the Colossus Special Edition, which will launch alongside the full game for $49.99. In it you’ll find a Steelbook Collector’s Case with outer sleeve, Artist Postcards, Printed Manual, In-game Digital Extras (Ancient Bow, Cloak of Fate, “Spotted Steed” Agro skin), Two Custom PS4 Themes, Colossi Avatar Set for PS4, Physical World Map, and Colossi Stickers.
