Well, Motion Twin decided to deliver an early Christmas present today for the massive amounts of Dead Cells fans via a little offering they call The Foundry Update. Building upon The Brutal Update, The Foundry Update provides a new Foundry area along with custom difficulty and the addition of Mutations, still adding even more variety to quite the already successful game.
The Foundry itself provides a blacksmith which is designed to support blueprint unlocks and serves as a bit of a new twist on the weapon upgrade system, which also works with the new custom difficulty, according to the developers. After beating the game for the first time, players will have the option to increase the difficulty up to three times, allowing you to keep upgrading your hard-earned weapons even further. Finally, Mutations will allow players to add extra perks to customize their play styles, or just get the skills needed to handle a difficult area. And as an extra bow adorning things, Steam Trading Cards have been added for players to unlock as well. Dead Cells is still in Early Access for the PC, and with additions like these, we can’t wait to see what the final version will be like.
