Activision and Sledgehammer Games have a new event lined up for Call of Duty: WWII to celebrate the impending release of The Resistance.
The Resistance, Call of Duty: WWII’s first DLC map pack, hits PS4 on January 30 and thirty days later on Xbox One and PC. The event kicks-off January 23 and runs through February 27, and includes a variety of content for players to enjoy and rewards to earn.
In terms of content, The Resistance event introduces a new Division to Call of Duty: WWII, Resistance. With this Division, players can unlock a unique set of skills citizen soldiers across Europe possessed, including the Tactical Knife skill that allows players to wield a knife and pistol at the same time. This Division is free for every player.
Two new guns and a new melee weapon join the game. We have the Orso SMG, the Volkssturmgewehr Assault Rifle, and the Combat Knife. Much like the new weapons in the Winter Siege event, there are multiple ways to unlock these weapons. Players can complete fifty matches, spend Armory Credits, or open Resistance Supply Drops and hope they gun drops.
Those looking for new game modes won’t be disappointed. The Resistance Event sees the return of the insanely popular Prop Hunt. First introduced in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, Prop Hunt tasks one team with disguising themselves as items on the map, and the other team with finding and destroying the props. Also returning is Demolition, which is like Search & Destroy, but with respawning.
Call of Duty: WWII is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
