RunGunJumpGun was an amazing old-school arcade action game from a short while back, as evidenced by the praise in our review for it. And like any successful retro-styled indie game these days, a Switch port for it seemed inevitable. So now Good Shepherd Entertainment is set to release ATOMIK: RunGunJumpGun for the console next month, allowing Nintendo fans to experience some classic white-knuckle sci-fi action as well.
No reason was stated for the slight name change, but the Switch version will contain an exclusive Shield Mode, giving players an energy shield and decreased movement speed for those who want something slightly less difficult, if they prefer. Aside from that, it’s still the same pulpy, action-packed fun as before, so if you haven’t played it yet, you may want to consider picking up ATOMIK: RunGunJumpGun when it hits the Switch on February 8.
