Psychological Thriller Past Cure Gets a New Story Trailer and Upcoming Demo

Past Cure is a game that the potential to be one of this year’s sleeper hits, a psychological thriller from developers Phantom 8 Studio that hopes to properly blend action, stealth, horror, and even some puzzle solving in one package. And if you wanted to get a better feel of what the game is all about, then the good news is that you have two options when it comes to checking things out. For those who want a hands-on experience, it was announced that a demo for will be released on Steam early next week. But for those who want something quicker, we now have a new story trailer outlining thing, which you can check out below.

A lengthy clip clocking in at over three minutes, the new video features narration that helps outline some of the details behind the plot. You play as Ian, a former soldier declared MIA who mysteriously resurfaces two years later, now with powers such as time manipulation and astral projection that come at as cost of his sanity, causing intense nightmares which require Ian to be dependent on a black market drug. After a new vision suddenly appears to him and things begin to change, Ian now heads out to follow a lead and get to the bottom of what happened to him. However, even that only appears to be scratching the surface. It looks like quite the interesting tale indeed, and we’ll see just how well it plays out when Past Cure comes out for PC, PS4, and XB1 on February 23.
