Blizzard Announces Schedule Changes for Overwatch League Stage 2

Stage 2 of the Overwatch League is set to start February 21 and that hasn’t changed. What has changed, however, are match times and the Stage Finals.

This past stage the Finals all happened on the last match day. This resulted in the Stage 1 champions, London Spitfire, Playing for 14 hours and over 14 maps. Though it obviously did not bother them, the fatigue potentially presented from this was noticed and now the Stage Finals will take place on Sundays. This puts them the day after the final match day which is usually Saturday and everyone gets a rest.

The other changes are to the start times of the matches throughout the week and on Saturday. Now matches will start at 4 p.m. PST on the weekdays and 1 p.m. PST on Saturdays. This standardizes all weekday and Saturday matches so you don’t have Thursday matches starting at 2 anymore.

That’s it for the changes. There’s a little more information that you can check out here if you like.
