Square Enix and Dontnod Entertainment have announced that the iOS port of Life Is Strange has been discounted for a “limited time.”
The sale only applies to Episode 1: Chrysalis, dropping from its retail price of $2.99 to $0.99 on the App Store.
The port, which was announced in 2017, has had Episode 1, Episode 2: Out of Time and Episode 3: Chaos Theory released so far. The two remaining Life Is Strange episodes — Episode 4: Dark Room and Episode 5: Polarized — have not had an official release date revealed, though they are expected to come in early 2018.
Meanwhile, an Android port is in the works and is also expected to launch early this year.
Life Is Strange was first released in 2015 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. It has since made its way to macOS and Linux, too.
Players take control of photography student Max Caulfield, who has returned to her hometown of Arcadia Bay, discovers that she possess the ability to rewind time and once again crosses paths with her childhood friend, Chloe Price.
Hardcore Gamer’s review for the iOS version said that with “the addition of features like Photo Mode and bonuses like the iMessage stickers, Life Is Strange reiterates why fans need to rewind time and once again step into the shoes of Max.”
