Fans of multiplayer shooters like Team Fortress 2 do love the occasional Prop Hunt mode, but don’t you just wish that there was an entire game built around the prop hunt at times? Well, Hamburg-based developers Barrel Roll Games have been been working on a remedy to that issue with Witch It, a multiplayer hide-and-seek game that sees hunters going up against witches that can disguise themselves as various bits of scenery. While the game has been available in Early Access on Steam for a while now with a good amount of success, selling over a hundred thousand copies, things are about to get bigger as fellow Hamburg natives Daedalic Entertainment have announced that they’ve signed a deal to help publish the game.
This partnership means that the game will now receive PS4 and Xbox One versions as well, in addition to gaining support for several new languages. Daedalic also aims to create more visibility for Witch It in North America, beginning by showcasing the game at PAX East from April 5 to April 8, allowing anyone attending to give the game a whirl. No new trailer was released alongside the announcement, but if you need a feel for things, you can check out the initial Early Access trailer below, then possibly check out the game on Steam if you like what you see.
