Activision Confirms More Remasters are in the Works

In their annual Form 10-K Report, Activision confirmed that the publisher is working on releasing more remastered titles.

Activision is working on numerous new titles and downloadable content for current titles that will launch in the coming year. We know World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth and Call of Duty 2018 will launch in the second half of this year. We also know that Activision’s developers are working on new content updates for Hearthstone, Destiny 2, Overwatch, and Call of Duty: WWII. What we didn’t know is that the company has more remastered games on the way.

In their Form 10-K, which is filed annually to provide a summary of a company’s financial performance and future outlook, Activision confirmed that more remastered versions are on their way. When we’ll see or hear about these remasters remains uncertain:

“We expect to release World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth and our latest Call of Duty game in the second half of 2018. In addition, we expect to deliver ongoing content for our various franchises, including expansion packs for Hearthstone and Destiny 2 , in-game events for Overwatch , and map packs for Call of Duty: WWII , as well as releases of remastered versions of titles from our library of IP.

Rumors and speculation concerning Activision remasters have been running rampant the past few years ever since the publisher released their first remaster, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Earlier this month, reports surfaced that Activision is working on a Spyro Trilogy Remaster much like the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy. Meanwhile, Call of Duty fans continue to speculate that Raven Software is working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Remastered.

Whatever these remasters turn out to be, we’ll be sure to let you know when they’re announced.
