Far Cry 5 villain Joseph Seed is no stranger to murder and controlling an entire congregation that does his bidding. Of course, every jerk has a history. The in-game area of Hope County has a very, very mean cult called Project at Eden’s Gate, that Joseph Seed runs. Likewise, the reach and danger of the cult are enough of a problem that there’s actually a Resistance formed against them. Formed from the potential victims of Hope County, The Resistance even includes people who were upended by the cult, like one Jerome Jeffries. Jerome used to be a Catholic priest until Joseph Seed came around and ruined his life. Part of that story plays out in the live action trailer detailing some of Seed’s backstory.
See the live action trailer below. Far Cry 5 is headed for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on March 27.
